Flow of accountability:
Christ is the Head of the Church (Colossians 1:18). He is the source of all that the Church is and does. Community Life Church's existence is for His pleasure and purpose alone. Our church structure follows the guidelines set out in Scripture.

We believe all members of our fellowship have received spiritual gifts from God (Romans 12:36). All believers are ministers and priests of God (1 Peter 2:5-10) with a special place of service in the church body. God's plan for church leadership is set out in Scripture as being spiritually gifted individuals who have been given to the church to equip the people, training them in the use of their gifts for His service (Ephesians 4:11). It is the role of each member to recognize and allow these individuals to lead the church in the ministry God has for our local body. These leaders are to equip the church body for service and hold it accountable before God even as the church body holds the leaders accountable to be faithful.

In short, the structure of Community Life Church is: Christ, who is the Head over the congregation, reigning; the pastor and elders equipping and holding the people accountable in their service to God; the congregation, recognizing and allowing gifted leaders to lead.
